DiggerSim – Excavator & Heavy Equipment Simulator is a sandbox-first take on the genre. Instead of contracts, it hands you a site, a fleet of machines and deformable terrain, then lets you dig.
The terrain system is the standout feature: earth is genuinely displaced, so trenches, ramps and spoil heaps persist as you work. Alongside excavators there are dozers, loaders and haulers to move the material you dig out.
VR support puts you inside the cab with hand-tracked levers, which is the closest most people will get to seat time in a real 20-tonne machine.
